Can I shorten URLs for free?
Start with Free: 100 saved links and 10,000 clicks per calendar month. Account required. Check current plans and limits before choosing advanced features.
Can I change a short link’s destination later?
Yes. Edit the destination in your dashboard while keeping the managed short URL. A QR code pointing to that managed URL follows the updated destination. Passwords, availability dates and account limits still apply.
What does short-link analytics measure?
The dashboard shows recorded click trends, devices, referring websites and approximate countries when country lookup is available. A recorded visit is not necessarily a person or a sale: automated requests and website analytics can count visits differently.
Can one link open different pages in different countries?
Country targeting is available on supported plans. Add a destination for each selected country and keep a default URL. IP location is approximate and can be affected by VPNs or mobile networks.
Can I use UTM tracking with a short URL?
Yes. Add the UTM parameters to the destination URL first, then shorten it. Tag alternate destinations separately. Appending campaign tags to a short URL is not a substitute for tagging its saved destination.
Does Google sharing make my link rank higher?
No ranking advantage is promised. The optional Google sharing feature depends on Google’s service availability. Clay Links is an independent link management service, and the regular managed URL remains available if generation fails.
